Bernalillo County has many events open to 4-H youth. Check the links below to find out what you can do.
County Contest Information
County Contests will be held over the course of several months. All contests will be held at the Bernalillo County Extension Office and 4-H Building.
Registration will be available closer to Contest time.
- Favorite Food Contest: February 3, 2024
- Public Speaking Contests: February 23, 2024 at 6:30 PM
- Fashion Revue and Talent Show: March 23, 2024
- Open Contests, Judging Contests, and Bowls: April 27, starting at 9 AM

Youth 4-H Members MUST participate in County Contest in order to attend District Contest in June or State Conference in July.
For Seniors: if the contest you are interested in is not on the county contest list, please select the contest that is most similar or closest to the one you are interested in.

Tag in and Ownership Deadlines 2024
County Ownership Deadlines are as follows:
Steers and Breeding Heifers: April 15
Dairy Heifers, Goats, Lambs, Pigs: June 1
Tag-in Dates for 2024 are TBD.
