Composter Association

Bernalillo County Extension Master Composters

At a meeting on October 30, 2010, master composters met to form an association whose purpose is to provide a structure for the support and maintenance of the Master Composter education program and its graduates. The name of the organization is Bernco Master Composter Association. At the meeting, we approved bylaws and elected a board of directors.

In October 20, 2011, we were granted 501(c)(3) status from the IRS. We are a nonprofit corporation and donations to BCEMC are tax-deductible.

Current board members, elected on November 5, 2020, are:

We are affiliated with the Bernalillo County Cooperative Extension Service. Our advisor is Extension Horticulture Agent, Sara Moran-Duran.
