Master composter training is a focused "train-the-trainer" program which prepares individuals to become educators in a variety of composting methods for the community. It is not necessary to be a resident of Bernalillo County to take the training.

The next training is tentatively scheduled for April 11 to May 5, 2018.

As details for the next training are finalized, you will find links below with the info you'll need.

If you wish to be notified when an application is available for the next training and are not already on our mailing list, please go to our Mailing List page, choose the Subscribe link and, on the form, indicate that you are interested in becoming a master composter.

If you are already on the mailing list, please contact webmaster@nmcomposters.org and indicate that you are interested in becoming a master composter.

The most recent master composter training was held in the spring of 2017. To learn more about the training, feel free to look at details for the spring 2017 training. Future trainings will be similar but some details might change.
