Bernalillo County Extension Master Composters

A workshop for all levels. Teachers will learn the basics of composting in the desert and leave with activities and curriculum to use with their students based on NM Content Standards. Participants will learn about the science, art, materials, methods and benefits of various composting methods.

The class will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016, from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm, at the Open Space Visitor Center, 6500 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque (map).

The workshop is open to school teachers and those interested in teaching composting in schools. Cost is $15. Pre-registration with payment is required. Registration deadline is July 16, 2016. Class size is limited.

2:45 - 3:30 Composting With Worms, including mini demo
3:40 - 4:15 Benefits and Barriers to School Composting
